Ground rules for using Scrollie.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing or using Scrollie, you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the service.

2. Eligibility

You must be legally able to enter into a binding agreement in your jurisdiction to use the service. If you use Scrollie on behalf of an organization or another person, you represent that you have authority to do so.

3. Accounts and Guest Access

Scrollie may allow you to use the app as a guest or to sign in using supported providers such as Google or Apple, depending on platform availability.

If you continue as a guest, some of your progress may remain tied to that device until you choose to sign in and sync it. You are responsible for keeping your device and account access secure.

4. Subscriptions, Purchases, and Billing

Certain features may require a paid subscription or one-time purchase. Pricing, billing period, renewal terms, and available plans are shown in the app at the time of purchase.

Subscription purchases are handled through the Apple App Store or Google Play, not directly by us. Those stores control billing, renewals, cancellations, refunds where applicable, and purchase management. Lifetime purchases, if offered, are one-time unlocks tied to the applicable store account and platform policies.

We may change available plans, pricing, packaging, trial offers, and promotional screens from time to time where allowed by law and store rules.

5. Permissions and Device Features

Some app features may ask for device permissions, such as accessibility or family-controls-related access, in order to power app blocking, intervention gates, or related functionality.

You control whether to grant those permissions. If required permissions are not granted, some features may not work or may be limited. You can usually manage these permissions from your device settings.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to misuse the service. This includes attempting to:

• interfere with the availability, security, or integrity of the service,
• reverse engineer, scrape, decompile, or bypass protections except where law clearly permits it,
• use the service for unlawful, harmful, abusive, or fraudulent activity,
• misrepresent your identity, purchases, entitlements, or account ownership,
• upload malicious code, automate abuse, or attempt to access other users' data.

7. Educational Content and No Performance Guarantee

Scrollie is designed to support learning habits and intervention-based study flows, but we do not guarantee any particular educational result, behavior change, exam result, time saved, or improvement outcome.

The app is not medical, mental health, therapeutic, or emergency guidance. You remain responsible for how you use your device, manage your time, and interpret educational content.

8. Intellectual Property

The app, website, branding, mascots, illustrations, layouts, copy, lesson structure, and related materials are owned by or licensed to the operator of Scrollie. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for its intended purpose, subject to these terms.

9. Availability, Updates, and Changes

Scrollie may evolve over time. We may add, remove, pause, redesign, or discontinue features, plans, content, integrations, or compatibility support at any time.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted uptime, universal device compatibility, or that the service will always be error-free.

10. Suspension and Termination

We may suspend, restrict, or terminate access if we reasonably believe a user has violated these terms, created risk for the service, attempted fraud or abuse, or used the service in a way that could harm users, platforms, or partners.

You may stop using the service at any time. Deleting the app from your device does not automatically cancel store subscriptions.

11. Disclaimers

To the maximum extent permitted by law, the service is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and availability.

12. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for any loss of profits, revenues, data, goodwill, subscriptions, device access, or business opportunities arising from or related to your use of the service.

13. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. When we do, we may revise the effective date, post the updated version on the website, or provide other notice where appropriate. Continued use of the service after updated terms become effective means you accept the revised terms.
